Reebok x PaperBoy Paris x BEAMS Team Up for Club C Legacy Refresh

Reebok, PaperBoy Paris, and BEAMS announce their first collective collaboration to reimagine the Club C Legacy and Club C 85. Reebok teamed up with the Japanese fashion retailer and hybrid restaurant-streetwear label to create a fresh take on the Club C silhouettes, inspired by the “milk boy”— a close cousin of the paperboy mascot.

A well-known name in the world of streetwear, PaperBoy Paris is a unique, hybrid brand that also functions as a Parisian café. The brand's cap-wearing mascot print has become extremely recognizable in the streetwear and fashion industries and continues to grow in popularity due to one-of-a-kind, highly anticipated collaborations, including several with fashion retailer, BEAMS.

While Reebok teamed up with BEAMS on the Reebok x BEAMS Club C Laceless Mule earlier this month, this is the first time the brand has worked with PaperBoy Paris, and the first capsule the three brands have designed together.

“Here at PaperBoy, we’re all kids of the ’90s and have worn the Club C since our childhood,” said James Dridi, PaperBoy Paris Founder. “It’s a dream come true to have the chance to design new iterations of the Club C silhouettes, especially with BEAMS, our emblematic partner.”

The ultimate goal for the Club C refresh was to keep the branding and look of the silhouettes pure, while subtly connecting the design back to the PaperBoy Paris restaurant, including the ingredients used—such as milk—and the meals cooked.

To design the Club C Legacy, the brands brought together the unique universes of Reebok, BEAMS, and PaperBoy Paris in a simple, refined manner for today’s consumer. Comprised of rubber and garment leather in a white and core black colorway, the Club C Legacy ($120; GW2816) seamlessly combines each of the brand’s fonts and logos throughout the shoe and features restaurant-inspired illustrations on the sock liner to tie back to PaperBoy Paris’ DNA.

The Reebok x PaperBoy Paris x BEAMS Club C Legacy will be available for purchase on Paperboyparis.shop beginning October 22, on Reebok.com and select fashion retailers on October 29, and Beams.co.jp on October 30. The collaboration’s Club C 85 will be available for purchase exclusively from PaperBoy Paris and BEAMS on the same dates.

About PaperBoy Paris

PaperBoy Paris is a hybrid brand that is both a streetwear label and a restaurant, functioning in different corporate realms simultaneously. Parisian café PaperBoy Paris has quickly become a popular name in the world of streetwear. With the brand’s cap-wearing mascot print, they have recently teamed up with Japanese Icon label BEAMS for its first collaboration with Reebok. PaperBoy Paris has seen its popularity grow considerably in recent years teaming up with BEAMS and we are proud to present this project focused on the Club C and Club C Legacy for FW21.

About BEAMS

The first BEAMS shop opened in February 1976 in a tiny space of only 21.5 square meters (231 square feet) situated subtly inside of a building that later entirely became the current menswear flagship, BEAMS HARAJUKU. A pioneer of lifestyle retailing, BEAMS imported and sold fashion and homeware products displayed to feel like a UCLA student dorm room, and named its shop American Life Shop BEAMS. Within a few years, the company quickly expanded its realm to American east coast and European trends by newly creating the BEAMS F and International Gallery BEAMS stores in 1978 and 1981. In response to growing demand for women’s styles, BEAMS’ first women’s label and store Ray BEAMS was started in 1984. New categories continued to be added, and BEAMS developed numerous labels with dedicated buying and merchandising teams. For every label and store, international and Japanese designer items are supplemented by in-house label products that add variety and depth to the merchandise mix.

In the course of growth, BEAMS earned a reputation for itself in cross-brand collaborations. Buyers often customized designer products to better fit the Japanese physique or to add a special detail to a popular model. In 1997, BEAMS collaborated with Motorola to produce specially designed mobile phones and gadget-compatible apparel. Since this period, collaboration projects rapidly increased, and BEAMS engaged in several notable collaboration projects with authentic international and domestic brands – many of which are featured in the 2017 Rizzoli publication BEAMS: beyond TOKYO.

To this day, BEAMS is a privately-owned company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Yo Shitara is the owner and President of BEAMS Co., Ltd. which was founded by his father Etsuzo Shitara. Most of its approx. 150 stores are widely spread across Japan, while its international locations include Taipei, Hong Kong, Beijing and Bangkok.

Jesus Cares by Calvin "Seanote" Byrd Debuts Top 10 on Gospel Charts

Calvin ‘Seanote’ Byrd has landed his latest release “Jesus Cares” on the Gospel Billboard Charts. According to reports, “Jesus Cares” is currently the #9 position above CeCe Winans’ hit single “Goodness of God”.

Seanote has been sharing beautiful music for quite some time now. According to him, he’s been called by God to bring positivity back to humanity. His songs are about progression and trust in Jesus. He would like people to know that ‘Jesus Cares’ when no one else does. His mission is to ignite fire and passion for Jesus in the soul of others by creating Christian music and movies.

Pastor Byrd’s new release ‘Jesus Cares’ is all about giving motivation and a new meaning to life that will safeguard one’s peace. Seanote is here to serve people and he has made it his duty to give people hope that Jesus hasn’t abandoned them.

Moreover, growing up in the church and performing at a young age, Seanote knew that this was the way that God wanted him to go, therefore, this is the route that he has chosen. When he was young, he sang in the church choir for over 12 years. His father taught him about music, harmonizing, and other essentials. Seanote  is also a professional actor and has worked with some of the big names in the industry, including Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, and even Oprah. In one of his concerts, he realized the true meaning of Gospel music when almost 15,000 attendees accepted Jesus as their Savior.

This is what made Seanote oriented towards creating Gospel music with even more heart, passion, and fire. His goal is to guide people towards the Word of God. The music alone is not what inspires his followers. People also love his personality, and the fact that he is a man of action. He no longer performs in any non-Christian-based movies, and he avoids films with bad language and obscene scenes. In every performance, he is dedicated to working for God and serving God in every possible manner.

Seanote’s dedication and commitment to Jesus and the Word of God is as steadfast as it was years ago. Due to bad language in scripts, he has even turned down roles that were paying amazingly well. He is now working on his first Christian-based movie and has just released ‘Jesus Cares’ which is now trending on multiple platforms. He intends to continue forward with the same Holy Spirit-filled passion.

In conclusion, he’s using his Hollywood contacts to get in touch with those willing to take part in the movies he’s working on, and so far, several are interested. What’s left to see is how well Seanote  takes his amazing journey to higher heights while teaching people about Jesus and the Kingdom of God.

Workers March To Miami Beach City Hall To Oppose 2 A.M. Referendum

Bouncing to the rhythm of a musical troupe from Mango’s Tropical Cafe, an organized group of hospitality workers marched from Lincoln Road to Miami Beach City Hall on Wednesday to make yet another push to oppose a Nov. 2 voter referendum that proposes to limit early-morning alcohol sales. The demonstrators, who wore matching t-shirts from the political committee Citizens for a Safe Miami Beach, carried signs and banners and chanted slogans opposing a proposed citywide 2 a.m. the last call for drinking at late-night businesses. “Service is Our Industry. Save our Jobs,” the group chanted as a trumpeter, percussionists, and megaphone-wielding emcee led the demonstration.

With early voting underway ahead of Miami Beach’s Nov. 2 election, a group of hospitality workers marched to City Hall on Wednesday to oppose a referendum that proposes to stop alcohol sales at 2 a.m. citywide on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021. PEDRO PORTAL

The referendum is on the ballot Tuesday. Early voting began last week. The non-binding ballot question asks voters whether the City Commission should restrict the sales and consumption of alcohol citywide at 2 a.m., with still-undetermined exceptions commissioners can propose.

The gathered workers read a letter in front of TV cameras expressing their “serious concerns” with the 2 a.m. booze ban. Proponents of the referendum, like Mayor Dan Gelber, want to eliminate South Beach’s entertainment district, which Gelber says attracts crime and misbehavior. His critics argue that the 2 a.m. ban would not curb crime and put people out of work. “We all want a safer Miami Beach, but this attempt to take away our jobs, destroy our livelihoods, and threaten how we provide for our families is not the answer,” the letter reads.

New Rolex Watches Were Gifted To John Wick's Stunt Team From Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves has celebrated wrapping on John Wick: Chapter 4 by gifting his stunt team Rolex watches.

The star surprised the four-strong crew while having dinner with them in Paris shortly after production had ended.

Stunt performers Jeremy Marinas and Bruce Concepcion took to Instagram stories to share photos of the watch, which was personally inscribed with “The John Wick Five” on the back.

“Got that new new thank you bro KR,” wrote Concepcion next to his photo.

This is not the first time that Reeves has given gifts to his stunt team. When he filmed the first Matrix film, the actor presented his entire team with Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

John Wick: Chapter 4 will hit cinemas in May 2022. In May this year, it was announced that Rina Sawayama would make her debut acting role in the film.

“I’m so glad to have Rina on board to make her feature film debut in John Wick: Chapter 4,” director Chad Stahelski said in a statement. “She’s an incredible talent who’ll bring so much to the film.”

Reeves will next be seen on screen in The Matrix Resurrections, which will be released in December.
