Editor’s Notes: Jordan Brand’s consistent output of original and retro Nike Air Jordan 1s has continued into 2019, with the latest colorway being the “Hyper Pink” version. The shoe follows the “Bred” color-blocking pattern, switching red for pink, and adding pebbled black leather for an elevated feel.

Brand: Nike SB

Model: Dunk High “Walk the Dog”

Key Features: This SB Dunk High has a collage of dog fur patterns on the upper with green suede overlays to mimic grass. The red Swoosh recalls leash material, while a dog bone hangtag is engraved with the name “Sparky.” The translucent outsole has a touch of brown, representing that nightmare moment when you step in dog poop, while the dogs of Nike employees are featured as an all-over graphic on the sock liner.

Release Date: April 20

Price: $110

Buy: Nike

Editor’s Notes: Nike SB is releasing a very special Dunk High on 420. Inspired by man’s best friend, the sneaker is jam-packed with fun dog details, the most entertaining being the brown mark on the outsole to symbolize stepping on dog poop.

With SB Dunks celebrating a mini-comeback after the model’s heyday in the ’00s, this 420 drop is shaping up to be a popular general release among some recent high-profile collabs.

Of course, the sneaker’s release date of 4/20 also doubles as “Weed Day.” While the above description of the colorway’s inspirations are no doubt accurate, some of the details also double as weed references. The green “grass” suede is reminiscent of 2010’s “Skunk” Dunk Highs. The dog tag with “Sparky” on it could be an allusion to “sparking” up. Also the phrase “walking the dog” is slang for being somewhere or doing something you’re not exactly supposed to be doing, such as smoking weed.

DJ Khaled & SNIPES Come Together for a Capsule of Streetwear Staples

SNIPES and DJ Khaled have teamed up once again for a sharp and considered capsule collection of streetwear staples for the summer months.

The DJ Khaled * SNIPES collection riffs off the music mogul and social media star’s hometown of Miami, with pieces heavily inspired by the breezy beach, bball and football jerseys that keep you cool by the coast, while pops of turquoise and orange nod to the iconic buildings and colors that define Miami Beach.

The highlights are two light quarter-zip tracksuits in white and black with the turquoise and orange color gradients, backed by the SNIPES ’98 football jersey along with its matching SNIPES 98 shorts (also available in white and black). Two SNIPES essentials round off the drop: the SNIPES pocket tee in bright orange with small patch pocket, and the snow-white SNIPES basic logo hoodie, featuring SNIPES’ iconic black logo lettering across the chest.
