Kansas City’s Rising Star: Recording Artist DonDrizzy

DonDrizzy is a new emerging artist out of the midwest, specifically Kansas City, MO. Born in Columbia, Missouri, Donte grew up an athlete playing football, basketball and baseball but always knew he had a calling to do music.

After moving to Kansas City, by age of 20 he had released a few songs on Soundcloud that grabbed people's attention online & word spread through the music scene which ultimately found its way to Billboard producer "Smartalec On The Track aka Subliminal Beatz". After hearing his potential, he reached out began trying to work out a distribution deal through Subliminal Music Group.

The two began recording and working on his sound for the duration of 2 years before releasing his first single titled "Sober" which has hit airwaves in several major cities across the U.S. Since then DonDrizzy has gone to feature with artists such as Stevie Stone & Stephen Jailon and has released his first studio album titled 'Aspera Adastra', which stands for 'to the stars through hardship' (in Latin) and has amassed over 250k streams. "Just think if Jay-Z or Wayne were in their early 20's, his best days are only ahead", Smartalec states, "he's no stranger to the grind and understanding the art of patience when it comes to the creative process", Drizzy claims "it's really about pushing yourself to limits you didn't think you could reach, being an artist that's coming up out of a smaller market you have to go to lengths that aren't normal in order to get your music heard, standing out is a must".

He's currently in the process of shooting music videos and recording projects being produced by Smartalec & multi-platinum engineer Robert Rebeck. His plan is to make a wider variety of records that incorporate r&b with the trap-drill sound, so be on the lookout for the upcoming EP ‘Between Love & Lust’ 2/14/23 as well as ‘Aspera Adastra II’ winter ‘23.

Kloud God Rebrands Himself to Joey Trap for 2022 In Hopes to Take the Industry by Storm

If you think the past couple of years have been an incredible ride for the rapper, popularly known as “Kloud God”, his new moniker will manifest all that’s to come as he rebrands himself to “Joey Trap” (Take Risks And Prosper). The change brings life to the acronym and supports his over-the-top proven track record of success. With two albums already released this year, over a million monthly listeners on Spotify, and 600k followers plus 400K subscribers on YouTube, Joey Trap is proving to the world that he’s an artist at the top of his game.

Born in New York, now based in San Diego, California, Joey Trap is the perfect blend of the East Coast/West Coast sound that appeals to audiences everywhere. Beginning to make music at the age of 8, Joey Trap first used Rap as an escape from the street life and temptations that surrounded him.

Influenced by artists such as Kodak Black, XXXtentacion, Travis Scott, and Young Thug, Joey Trap began to dive deep into the studio and released music through Kloud Gang Entertainment. In 2017 and at the young age of 18, he was signed to Asylum Records; a relationship that did not stand the test of time and ended in 2019.

Realizing that he could continue the journey both successfully and independently, Joey Trap built his own label Young Rich Squad LLC, and from that moment on has never looked back. Free, unbound and pushing through any challenges ahead, Joey Trap continues to deliver that undeniable East Coast attitude with some West Coast flavors. Hits like ‘Hova’, ‘Fentanyl’ and ‘Skinny’, have proved that it was the best decision he ever made, and he is now firmly established as an artist in the top tier of rappers. Infectious, authentic with a unique view of the world, his driving beats and incredible story-telling ability, supported by a tight lyrical flow, are a testament to the future road ahead.

With a work ethic producing seemingly an endless supply of music, it’s safe to say that there is so much more to come. His passion for music creation is a lifelong relationship that will unquestionably attract more fans to his world. He doesn’t need to be anyone else to make that happen. He has already arrived and is completely cognizant of the fact that there is no one that can get in his way or stop him.

“Take Risks And Prosper” is more than just a brand, it is the mantra that Joey Trap lives by.

Introducing Memphis Artist, King JBoi

Born and raised in the streets of Memphis, Tennessee, King JBoi emerged on the music scene with an attempt to change his life and the lives of those around him.  The life experiences depicted in his music, along with a passion to learn more about the industry, developed JBoi into the artist he is today.  “I’m very influential in the streets, and I’ve always liked music”, says King JBoi.  With his experiences, life lessons, culture, and environment—JBoi has multiple influences from his life that contribute to his unique sound you hear today.

JBoi created his own path navigating through the Hip Hop world by creating the L.i.E. (Loyalty Is Everything) organization in his youth.  Increasing his passion for Hip Hop as an art, culture, and lifestyle—JBoi released his mixtape “Street Prophecy,” followed by a series of NBA themed mixtapes that included “Lebron James,” “Wilson Chandler,” and “Scottie Pippen.”  He also added, “What I’ve learned is, if you want it—go get it.  They don’t give million dollar checks out of pity.”

Recently, King JBoi reappeared on the music scene with a new EP entitled “Holy Trinity”, aiming to solidify his independence in the industry.  Featured singles “Really Impressed,” “Still No Deal,” and “Holy Trinity'' are some of the favorites from the EP.  These songs illustrate his history in the streets and evolution in the music industry.  He says, “it shows all 3 sides of me,” and that’s important to him as an artist.  “Coming from a world as a ‘dope boy’ to starting a nonprofit as a ‘mentor’ to priding myself on being a ‘father’ has created the person I am today,”  King JBoi added.  This project has created a one-of-a-kind sound with a high amount of authenticity.

In King JBoi’s spare time, he wears many hats—stepping outside the traditional box of just a Hip Hop artist.  Achieving his Masters in Sports Administration, after playing basketball in college, was first of many achievements.  He used his Masters degree to create something bigger, and with a few years of hard work—he founded his nonprofit, Team JBoi.  “The organization serves to fund athletes of all sports with equal opportunity, and gives them a platform that otherwise wouldn’t exist for most,” says JBoi. Helping the next generation is a true milestone in his life, and there is so much more to come from him.

King JBoi wouldn’t give any specific details, but confirms there are two projects completed and awaiting release dates.  Check out the website www.KingJBoi.com and follow his social media handles for constant updates and releases.

His music is a story and a world that he has every intention of expanding and continuing throughout his career. Inspired during an afternoon of fantasizing about being rich. A great performance that captures the essence of feeling extravagant.

It's the theme song for those who wants to feel empowered over people who doubt them.. Fathers verse on this song was able to create an interesting contrast sonically while remaining rich in delivery.

Sean ‘Contractor’ Edwards head of the Contractor Music Group based in Ocho Rios Jamaica says, “I am delighted to have them distribute this hip hop album because it allows us worldwide access to more outlets HMV, MTV, HULU and Barnes & Noble.”

Kevin Gates hasn't been behind bars since 2018, but that hasn't stopped him from returning to a prison to visit another rap star inmate.

July 8th, a photo of Gates and C-Murder was uploaded to the incarcerated rapper's Instagram account. In the photos, C-Murder meets with Gates, who covers his face with a stack of cash.

"REAL RECOGNIZE REAL. @iamkevingates came through and hollered at Cee. Nothing but respect for the homie Gates. A lot so call real left the homie hanging. You have to be real when you take time out your celebrity life to visit a homie in the pen. Salute @iamkevingates for the realest shit. #freecee #freeleelucus #freebigmarlo @freecornbread #freemac #tru4life #justice #tru #trudat #trumovement #freecmurder," C-Murder wrote in his caption.

C-Murder, who was born Corey Miller, is still behind bars after he was convicted of second-degree murder in 2009 for a 2002 nightclub killing. His request for a retrial was denied by a judge earlier this year. Judge Steven Enright of 24th Judicial District Court ruled on Jan. 23 that C-Murder's defense did not make a compelling case for any kind of post-conviction relief. Enright said that the recantation of both witnesses' testimonies are "highly suspicious."

Both his brother Master P and his nephew Romeo Miller have been extremely vocal about C-Murder's release even before the witnesses recanted their testimony. Two of Miller’s friends and collaborators, Cuttboy G-Dinero and 2Meka Diaz, submitted his case to Reasonable Doubt, a true-crime show with the TV network Investigation Discovery in August 2017. When the investigators on the show searched for Jordan and another witness, Jordan finally stepped forward to change his story.

“I think he was all of a sudden ready to talk, and I think he saw that show as an opportunity to put the truth out there,” Barker said.

Cuttboy G Dinero says he has a new single with C-Murder coming soon, “Dey Put Da Blame On Me,” which was recorded while Miller was on house arrest before his 2009 conviction. The snippet can be heard here. The song will be featured as a main single on the “Hip Hop Cruises To Jamaica” compilation album.
