Fender Audio's Riff: The Ultimate Portable Bluetooth Speaker and Guitar Amp Hybrid with Unmatched Features and Sound Quality
I had the pleasure of attending the National Association of Music Merchants Show (NAMM) in Anaheim, California, from April 13-15, 2023. Among the exhibitors, Fender Audio stood out with their latest innovation, The Riff, a portable Bluetooth speaker that doubles as a guitar amp. During my exclusive interview with the brand manager, Michael Fiore, he shared their excitement about accomplishing the goal of creating a Bluetooth speaker that had as much “Fender DNA” in it as possible.
The Riff is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker and practice amp in one, with a host of useful features for musicians. It is a 60-watt, Class-D amp that has four speakers and two bass woofers. The unit has USB-C charging and a lithium-ion battery with up to 30 hours of battery life. The Riff app adds an alternative control for the EQ and volume, allowing users to adjust the guitar/music mix to taste, perfect for practice and jamming with.
What sets The Riff apart from other portable Bluetooth speakers is its attention to detail and passion for creating a product that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The genuine maple interface allows you to adjust the Riff's volume and EQ by simply sliding your fingers like you're shredding on a real fretboard. The Fender team paid attention to every fine detail, ensuring that the grill had little guitar picks inside, and the top emulated the guitar neck with fret markers. The bumps in the grill were even designed to emulate guitar strings
The Riff is a must-have for anyone who loves music and wants to take it with them wherever they go. With its unique design, powerful sound, and attention to detail, it’s sure to be a hit among music lovers and guitar players alike. The Riff is not just a speaker; it's a work of art. The attention to detail and the passion that went into creating this product is evident in every aspect of its design. Ultimately, it’s a great addition to Fender's home audio and guitar amp lineups, and we can't wait to see what Fender Audio comes up with next.
