Born in New York, now based in San Diego, California, Joey Trap is the perfect blend of the East Coast/West Coast sound that appeals to audiences everywhere. Beginning to make music at the age of 8, Joey Trap first used Rap as an escape from the street life and temptations that surrounded him.
Influenced by artists such as Kodak Black, XXXtentacion, Travis Scott, and Young Thug, Joey Trap began to dive deep into the studio and released music through Kloud Gang Entertainment. In 2017 and at the young age of 18, he was signed to Asylum Records; a relationship that did not stand the test of time and ended in 2019.
Realizing that he could continue the journey both successfully and independently, Joey Trap built his own label Young Rich Squad LLC, and from that moment on has never looked back. Free, unbound and pushing through any challenges ahead, Joey Trap continues to deliver that undeniable East Coast attitude with some West Coast flavors.
