With the Air Jordan 11 “Cherry” headlining Jordan Brand’s holiday offerings last weekend, just a handful of releases remain before the Beaverton-based brand turns the calendar page, including tomorrow’s release of the Air Jordan 1 “Gorge Green”.
While Jordan’s 63-piece against the Celtics is being harkened via its own AJ1 construction in 2023 alongside a women’s-exclusive Air Jordan 3, the Boston-based connection is immediately reinvigorated via the vast amount of real estate its dark forest green hue casts across tumbled leather overlays. Stark, crisp white contrasts envelop the silhouette’s base layer, tongue tooling and laces while the rich shade of foliage extends a lasting treatment across the ankle trim and tongue tab branding above before finishing in a clad composition across the tread underfoot. In place of typical jet-black embellishments filling the collar’s winged insignia and midfoot Swoosh, “Metallic Silver” details proffer the pair’s premium conclusions.
