As the novel coronavirus continues to spread around the globe, there’s some comfort in knowing that we’re all in this together—whether we’re actors, athletes, politicians or regular citizens. In honour of that spirit of global community, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released an official statement on their @SussexRoyal Instagram account addressing this public health crisis.

“These are uncertain times. And now, more than ever, we need each other. We need each other for truth, for support, and to feel less alone during a time that can honestly feel quite scary,” wrote the royal couple, adding that “this moment is as true a testament there is to the human spirit.”

“Millennials Are Not Immune”: Kylie Jenner Urges Followers to Take Coronavirus Seriously

76696.jpg

It’s no secret that Kylie Jenner has serious influence – so much so that the 22-year old has been called upon by the Surgeon General to encourage her followers to be safe during the COVID-19 crisis.

During a spot on Good Morning America, Surgeon General Jerome Adams said, “We need to get Kylie Jenner and social media influencers out there, in helping folks understand that, look, this is serious, this is absolutely serious. People are dying.” And Jenner listened.

Sharing a video on her Instagram Stories, Jenner told her 166.6 million followers: “I listened to the Surgeon General this morning, and even though I’ve already been doing my daily reminders [to self quarantine and practice social distancing], he definitely encouraged me to come on here and talk to you guys. Coronavirus is a real thing. Please stay inside, practice social distancing, self quarantine. If you live with your parents, you don’t want to go home and get your parents sick. You might have it and not even know and be affecting other people. It’s serious and the only way to slow this down is if we do this, because there’s not a cure right now.”

She then added, “Nobody is immune to this, millennials are not immune to this,” before referencing new research in the US that shows that a large percentage of COVID-19 positive patients in the States are young adults.

Earlier this week, Jenner took to the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram page to share a message saying that she was going to use her “personal and brand channels over the coming weeks to share news, updates and recommendations from public health officials so that we can all stay informed and safe.”

Apple Card Bans the Purchase of Cryptocurrency According to Newly Published Customer Agreement

As the Apple Card launch draws closer, more details about the upcoming credit card are coming to light. Yesterday, Goldman Sachs, Apple‘s official creditor, posted the card’s customer agreement to its website, revealing all the fine details and some unique restrictions for use.

One significant detail that emerged is the Apple Card’s ban on purchasing cryptocurrencies. While neither Apple nor Goldman Sachs have commented on this restriction, this is not the first time a credit card provider bans the purchase of cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin.

According to the Apple Card Customer Agreement, additional cardholders won’t be an option, meaning if you want Apple Card, you’ll have to individually apply and be approved for it on your own iPhone. Another interesting detail is a warning about jailbreaking. If your device has been tampered with, or “jailbroken,” you could lose access to your account or Goldman Sachs could even shut it down.

As more information continues to emerge, head here for everything we know about the Apple Card so far.
