Billboard Charting Artist DJ QBall teams up with Shannon Clay & BlackMagic Tuddadirt for New Single

DJ Qball.jpeg

DJ QBALL began his rise in fame as one of the founding members of the Hip-Hop group Crucial Conflict in the late 1980’s, is the recognized DJ for the group from its inception and is credited on several of the group’s projects as an engineer and background vocals. DJ QBALL can also be seen in the movie “Hoop Dreams” with his former locker partner, fellow Commando, and friend, Arthur Agee. He can also be seen in the movie “Belly” alongside DMX and Nas.

“KILL EM WITH KINDNESS” speaks to the different experiences with people who call themselves your “friend” but at the first sign of success or disconnection, they do everything in their power to try and bring you down.

The personal empowerment of making the choice to respond to the energy of naysayers, doubters, and distractions with even more success. The song expresses the maturity in making the decision to, instead of resorting to violence, kill all negative vibes with  “MAKING IT”, whatever that may be for each person. Instead of pulling out guns, it's about making a choice to confuse the enemy by keeping a smile on your face while CRUSHING  ‘em with your power to shine.

This song is a mixture of reggae, R&B, and rap with a bass that’s bumping! Produced by Sinima Beats, this song will not only be relatable, but it will get you up out of your seat and have you singing along.

Her latest album, “Mercury Retrograde” released in January of 2021, is taking listeners on major streaming platforms by surprise. Her music draws listeners in because her lyrical content is raw and focuses on things such as hate, envy, deceit, and toxic relationships that many experiences and can relate to.

Every song on this album bangs, but one that many love is “Enough is Enough” featuring Trace Kennedey. This song is a contemporary R&B/Hip hop ballad with a classic 90’s touch, unlike anything you’ve heard before. The melodious instrumentation produced by Netta, and Trace’s modern twist on an old-school favorite within his verse makes the track captivating from beginning to end. “The song is about infidelity and how it gives a chance for suspicions to arise in a relationship. I have used the song to highlight it while gaslighting the accuser in my song. The lyrics themselves are composed in an open-ended question-like format, leaving them ambiguous, which makes it interesting,” he added.

KISS announce official details of upcoming Las Vegas residency

Kicking off this December

KISS have officially announced the details of their second Las Vegas residency – check out the dates below.

The hard rock veterans confirmed last week that they would be taking to the stage at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino from December 27 until February.

It will mark the band’s second residency in the Nevada city, having embarked on a nine-date run at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel And Casino in 2014. That stint was released as the Kiss Rocks Vegas concert film two years later.

Now, KISS have confirmed the full schedule of shows for late 2021/early 2022. They will perform at the Zappos Theater on December 29 and 31, 2021, and across January 1, 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, 29, and February 2, 4, 5 next year.

Tickets go on general sale this Friday (August 20) at 10am local time – you can purchase yours from here. A pre-sale for the KISS ARMY Fan Club began here earlier today (visit this website to register as a member).

You can see the announcement tweet above.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about KISS’ return to Las Vegas, bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons explained: “There are matters of the heart and then there are matters of the pocket and it’s nice when they both converge. So it’s a very nice payday.

“[The shows] pay well and that’s reason enough. But it’s also easier for the band because you don’t have the wear and tear of travelling.”

Simmons also revealed that the performances will be a scaled-down version of the band’s usual high-production gigs. “Anything that’s got a roof on it, we have to scale back the pyro or we’ll blow the roof off, literally,” he said. “But we are planning lots of surprises for Vegas, which nobody’s seen yet. We’re in the middle of putting that together.”

KISS recently resumed the US leg of their mammoth ‘End Of The Road’ world tour, having postponed the dates due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During a recent interview, Gene Simmons revealed that he is in favour of vaccine mandates at concerts as live music returns post–COVID. “We are not allowing roadies or anybody else to be anywhere backstage unless they’re vaccinated and the masks are on the whole time,” he added.

"I haven't quit anything. The album continues"

mike-dean-kanye-west-696x442.jpg

Legendary producer and longtime Kanye West collaborator Mike Dean has denied that he has quit working on the rapper’s frequently delayed new album, ‘Donda’.

Dean posted a number of vague but seemingly frustrated tweets earlier today (August 15), including “fuck it” and “good to be at the house,” before replying to a comment suggesting that West’s album rollout that had seemed “toxic” to those following its progress. “Toxic. That’s it,” the producer responded in agreement.

Elsewhere Dean – not to be confused with the Premier League referee of the same name – tweeted: “I left Monday. Secretly. Had to get away.”

Now, the producer has clarified that he is still involved with West’s upcoming record in a new tweet. “I haven’t quit anything,” he tweeted. “The album continues. Lol. People read too much into tweets. Lol.”

Kanye’s follow-up to 2019’s ‘Jesus Is King’which had initially been set to arrive in July 2020, was scheduled to finally be released after West’s first public listening event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta last month.

With the album still unreleased as of today (August 13), West’s fans are now looking at a potential release date of August 20 after previously hoping for its arrival on Sunday (August 15).

West’s second Atlanta listening event last week was Apple Music’s biggest-ever livestream, with the broadcast attracting over 5.4 million viewers on the streaming service.

IN-L Drops New Single, My Money Good

inl.jpg

Nate Lamont, professionally known as IN-L is a multi-genre music producer and beatmaker. His original sound comes from his cross-blend of cultures. "I'm originally from Miami, Fl., with half of my family being from Nassau, Bahamas, and the other half from Miami," he explained. So many of his tracks have an island flair. Now he lives just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, a hotbed for trap music, southern hip hop, and progressive R&B. He has also produced tracks with everything from EDM to country vibes.

My Money Good.jpg

He recently dropped a number of new instrumentals which he calls, "Authentic Fire". One of my favorites is a hip-hop track entitled, Your Ferries Coming. It has a booming bass-filled beat.  It's clear from the production quality and experimental feel that IN-L knows and enjoys what he's doing. "My love for music spans over 20 years!" he said.

YFC.jpg

Another dope song is Brain, Heart, Nerve.  The track has a head-nodding international feel. He has a number of tracks, each with a different feel. "This is the first time I have professionally pursued my longtime passion. I like to personally play the background and let my music lead the way, and be judged on its own." And you can be the judge and jury. All his music, he says, "is for anyone who wants it."  That attitude is why he is a producer who deserves some more shine.

BHN.jpg

IN-L says, "I believe that I stand out because I was born with an ear for music. I can arrange and create different genres of sounds that cross barriers."

Vincent Lyn Promotes World Peace On New Single Featuring Melissa B.

VINCENT LYN

VINCENT LYN

Just Imagine — that on earth all human beings were united as one, living together in harmony. We all know how beautiful that would be. What a wonderful world it could be…

ab67616d0000b273b2dd8a3d9cea983e88e210e6.jpg

We were able to speak to Vincent Lyn about his recent release with Melissa B and here is what he said:

“Four years ago my colleague Melissa Bailey (Melissa B), an incredibly talented singer/songwriter/performer and fellow Grammy artist approached me and said, “Why don’t we write a song about global peace?” 2017 was a devastating year with natural disasters such as catastrophic floods, wildfires, and earthquakes affecting millions across the globe. So, it certainly seemed like then was the right time. And so I sat down at the piano and jotted down some chord changes and a bare melody, and over the course of a few weeks had something that I liked. I passed it along to Melissa and she started writing some lyrics. Months passed and we threw ideas back and forth and made some brief changes and then Melissa called up a friend Armand Hutton who collaborated with her on adding some changes to the lyrics. But the song sat collecting dust, weeks went by, then months and years passed.”

Fast forward 2021 and those natural disasters have increased ten-fold. COVID-19 continues to ravage the world. We are seeing not only a 100+ year pandemic but also the effects of climate change that we can no longer as a global society just brush under the rug. Even more depressingly, the study from the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) shows that the world has gotten progressively less peaceful since 2017. Out of 162 countries, 151 of the world’s nations are currently involved in some form of conflict. It is sad to say, but there are currently ongoing wars in 40 countries, most of them in the Middle East, North West Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa, and a major ongoing drug war in Mexico.

If there ever was a time to release a song about global peace and uniting people now was the appropriate time. Look around, the world is on the precipice of catastrophic proportions, unlike anything we’ve seen in over 100 years. COVID -19 has changed the landscape of our world. Many parts of the world are still locked down and many of us took true value in the solitude and made good use of the time. For example, I wrote a book on my humanitarian experiences that has just been published with Barnes & Noble — Childhood Lost.

Just Imagine People United then rose from the ashes. It woke us all up to the calamities ravaging our world, the timing was right, the stars were aligned, and we all felt that the release of Just Imagine People United needed to happen. It took on a globe-trotting production and connection of artists, musicians, producers all over the world. A collaboration was made with colleague Nuno Olim Marote who has an NGO in Portugal called Give Peace A Voice and together with Lyn’s international foundation We Can Save Children an amazing initiative was formed.

Melissa recorded her lead vocal in NYC. Nuno Olim Marote founder of Give Peace a Voice invited Lyn to travel to Portugal to record the piano part and met with cello composer Manuel Faria and prodigious cellist Irene Lima and together they recorded their parts. But the song needed a choir and it had to be the orphaned youth that Lyn worked with in Uganda. Vincent Lyn’s first meeting with Buyinza Morgan was in 2016 when he went to Uganda on a humanitarian mission to aid him and the 300 orphaned youth that were at his high school. Buyinza at 20-years old was leading a group of singers called the Precious Choir. Lyn called Buyinza and told him about the song and he was very thrilled to be a part of the project, and so the Precious Choir recorded their parts in Uganda. All the members traveled a few hours by bus from their village in Wakiso District to the capital city of Kampala. There they would all be huddled together in a very cramped and spartan recording studio, certainly by western standards. There were days they had no electricity and would just sit around for hours waiting and praying it would come back on. But it was all worth it. It was the icing on the cake, and we all felt magic had been made.

To think “Just Imagine” was recorded in the far reaches of the world during a global pandemic. It’s truly astonishing. Melissa Bailey (Melissa B)and Vincent Lyn created a small seed 4 years ago and together with co-lyricist Armand Hutton, now the world can hear their magic.

All the front sales are to be donated equally between We Can Save Children and Give Peace a Voice.

This song pays homage to the Portuguese Secretary-General of the United Nations U.N. António Guterres in partnership with the Portuguese NGO Give Peace A Voice and my Foundation We Can Save Children. The project Just Imagine People United has the institutional support of the Portuguese Government, namely, Pedro Siza Vieira, Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, and Tiago Brandão Rodrigues, Minister of Education.

"The visual arts, like music, can be vehicles for peace, so it was a special experience for me to create the drawing for the cover of Just Imagine People United, following the invitation by Nuno Olim Marote. Just as it was a privilege to feel the harmony in the encounter with Vincent Lyn, through martial arts and meditation: to find an admirable man, available to the universe and to others. His serenity and his generosity are reflected in his music on behalf of peace." - Joana Vasconcelos (contemporary visual artist renowned for her monumental sculptures)

As of this writing, the song both Remix and Original versions have hit number 3 and 4 respectively on the Worldwide iTunes Charts! Submitted to the Global Music Awards — World Music Category.
